The annual NDBowling.com Classic took place this past weekend at Sunset Lanes in Moorhead, MN. An impressive field of 86 bowlers entered for a shot at the $2000 top prize and the Glen Hains Memorial Trophy.
The tournament was held on the 40 foot Chichen Itza pattern. Coming in at a shade under 26 mls, the pattern provided its fair share of friction to the nearly sold out field. Leading the way on Saturday was Brady Stearns. Stearns fired an 8 game block of 1855. The cut to the top 24 was 1610. Nick Gehrts won a roll off over Blake Wallstrum and Robert Hamrick for the final spot.
On day 2, 24 bowlers returned for 12 games of match play. Eric Parvey continued his great season by leading for a majority of the day en route to the #1 overall seed for the NDBowlTV show. Entering the position round, 7 different players were within 20 pins all vying for 2 spots in the final. When the dust settled, Brady Stearns, Andy Mills, Matt Smallin and Nick Heilman would join Parvey on NDBowlTV.
NDBowlTV Results:
Heilman def. Smallin 203-170
Mills def. Heilman 232-230
Mills def. Stearns 245-169
Mills def. Parvey 250-242

It was redemption for Andy Mills who avenged his loss in the final match of the 2019 Classic by shooting averaging 242 in his 3 matches on NDBowlTV. The win gives Mills his 4th career NDBowling.com Major title and joins him with 7 other bowlers who have 4 or more Majors.
Special shoutout to Darin Sundstrom, Lonnie Thielbar, Mike Emerson and the entire staff at Sunset Lanes for hosting the event. The improvements to the facility look great!
I would also like to thank then entire group of bowlers who made the trip to Moorhead, MN this past weekend to compete. The support of Sunset Lanes and NDBowling.com is greatly appreciated by all.
Congratulations to the 2020 NDBowling.com Classic Champion, Andy Mills!
