Thompson Wins March Madness Tournament in Carrington
March 10 – The March Madness Bracket Tournament was held at Central City Lanes in Carrington, ND. 32 Bowlers were randomly entered into a bracket for a single game, double elimination format to determine the winner. This format allows some bowlers to have a much easier route to the finals than others. When the dust settled, Doug Thompson survived the madness to claim the title by defeating Duane Sandvick in the finals. Finishing behind them were Jim Ryan in 3rd and Travis Hersrud in 4th. A big thanks go out to Randy Peterson and Central City Lanes for hosting the event. Hope to be looking forward to this event next season.

March 21st – Bowling big scores is nothing new to Mike Larson, but what he did last Thursday at Sunset Lanes in Moorhead was record setting. Larson was able to strike over 32 times en route to games of 290, 278, and 299 for an 867 series and a new house record at Sunset Lanes. Great bowling Mike!
Schick Wins Forum All Star Classic
March 24th – The 52nd Annual Forum All Star Classic was held at All Star Bowl in Moorhead this past weekend where Travis Hersrud was looking to defend his title from a year ago and earn his 6th All Star Classic Victory. 31 Bowlers entered the event on Saturday. The old wood lanes proved to test some of the best bowlers in the region. Rapidly changing lane conditions from pair to pair meant that those who kept things simple and made sound adjustments would end up on top, and no one does that better than Dave Schick. Schick found a way to grind his way through the tournament en route to his second victory of the season by defeating Eric Parvey in the finals. Thank you to Robert and Shelly at All Star Bowl for hosting another great event and thank you to Andy Kappes for bringing the FM Bowling Tour to life. The FM Bowling Tour Year end event will be at Sunset Lanes in Moorhead on April 21st. Please visit www.FMBowlingtour.com for more information.
