The NDBPA State Scratch Doubles tournament was held this past weekend at North Hill Bowl in Minot. 18 doubles teams made the trip following a rather intense snow storm a few days prior.
Saturday featured 12 baker games on the 39 foot Plutonium pattern. Players were able to find friction early, but the pattern would yield pretty low scores throughout the block. At the end of the day, Tayler Wallstrum and Josh Kragh topped the leaderboard as the only team to shoot plus for the round with a 2440 total.
On Sunday, bowlers returned for 8 individual games. Randy Peterson and Ryan Krabbenhoft wasted no time grabbing the lead after game one and never looked back. Krabbenhoft, known among the community as ‘Country’, lead the way posting a 1754 8 game toal to win the Singles portion of the event. Krabbenhoft’s 1754 total was 124 pins clear of the field. Randy Peterson posted a 1596 to finish 4th individually. The pair won the tournament with a final total of 5731, which was 266 pins clear of the next team.
Top 5:
Randy Peterson\Ryan Krabbenhoft – 5731
Tayler Wallstrum\Josh Kragh – 5465
Ryan Selk\Wade Scott – 5419
Jon Breckel\Jeremiah Smith – 5364
Jay Fettig\Chris Charles – 5337
Congratulations to Randy and Country on the win!
We would also like to give a shout out to Jeremiah Smith for winning the 2022 NDBowlTV Masters on October 30th in Minot. Things got a little crazy at NDBowling.com and we never got a recap out from that event. You can watch the entire 2nd day from that tournament on NDBowlTV by clicking HERE.
