For the past 2 years, NDBowling.com has been entertaining bowlers in the region. NDBowling.com has given deserved recognition to tournament winners as well as those with exceptional careers. NDBowling.com has spent endless hours creating things such as the NDBowling.com Tour, the NDBowling.com Scratch Players Ranking, and fan favorite Bowler Spotlight. I have promoted events, sent endless emails searching for tournament posters, and spent countless hours writing stories about bowlers, bowling centers, and my personal experiences. Some say I should have left my personal experiences and opinions out, but that was the only way I could get the attention of the right people to change what I, along with many others, knew was wrong.
The past 2 weeks have proved to me what I already know about the political side of bowling in our state. The experiences at the Jamboree proved to me that NDBowling.com meant practically nothing to some of those who are paid to represent the sport in North Dakota. It also proved that there are still some proprietors out there that simply do not appreciate the work I put in to promote their establishment and their events for free. That, along with operating at a significant financial loss each season, has left me not choice but to make significant changes to NDBowling.com.
1.) This will be my final article. This will also conclude all tournament recaps and the Bowler Spotlight series articles as well. While I understand this will disappoint many of my most loyal fans, it is simply just not worth my time anymore. The significant amount of hate mail/comments/messages over the past week calling me a “coward”, saying I suck at what I do, and calling the site a “detriment to the sport of bowling in North Dakota” showed me what people really think of me and the work I put in here at NDBowling.com. I respect the judgement of all and the response this past week has left me no choice but to end the blog/article service here at NDBowling.com.
2.) Tournaments will still be posted on the site, but I will no longer spend endless hours emailing tournament directors, bowling centers, and friends trying to locate tournament posters and information. If you want your event or tournament results posted on NDBowling.com, simply send your info to me (Seney1987@gmail.com) and I will be more than happy to post it.
3.) After this season, NDBowlTV will be available to those interested in live streaming their tournaments and events at a fee. Continuing to operate for free is just not possible.
I would like to thank all the fans of NDBowling.com for remaining loyal for the past 2 years. I greatly appreciate those who have offered a helping hand and have donated their hard earned money to help me keep this thing going. This includes several bowlers, proprietors, tournament directors, and friends.
