Storylines

Lane Pattern Analysis
The 2026 NDBowling.com Classic will be held on a custom 43 foot pattern created by the fine folks at Kegel. This pattern contains a shade over 31 mls of oil and a ratio of 2.50-1. The shape of this pattern will allow multiple angles to the pocket. The key this season will be the breakdown. Sunset Lanes recently changed to Glide oil which is designed for higher friction lane surfaces. This will definitely change the breakdown most Classic competitors have come to know at Sunset Lanes. I expect stronger equipment to be in play for a touch longer than normal and higher scores will come from those who can manage downlane motion late in the block. With one of the strongest fields in NDBowling.com Classic history expected this weekend, look for the cut to be in the +20 to +50 range.

Lane Pattern
Roster as of Tuesday 2/24: 9 AM Squad | 3 PM Squad

Urethane Rules
Much like the KFYR TV Bowling Classic, the 2026 NDBowling.com Classic will adopt the 78 hardness rule for urethane equipment as well. Players interested in using urethane equipment will be limited to those manufactured at 78 hardness after August of 2022.

NDBowling.com Player of the Year Race
The NDBowling.com Player of the Year Race will conclude this weekend at the Classic. Currently, Dawson Unrath is in position to claim his first Player of the Year honor with a 12 point lead over Thomas Wolf. With 42.5 points being awarded to the winner this weekend, only 5 players are still mathematically alive in the race. Top point earner after the NDBowling.com Classic will earn NDBowling.com Player of the Year honors. Top 5 will be named to Team of the Year.

Top 5 Entering the Classic:
1 Unrath, Dawson 157.30
2 Wolf, Thomas 145.25
3 Kragh, Jamey 137.90
4 Wallstrum, Tayler 129.25
5 Scott, Wade 126.40
