Player of the Year Race to Kickoff This Weekend in Moorhead

The 2017-2018 Player of the Year Race will begin this weekend at the 2017 Kickoff Classic in Moorhead, MN. The Kickoff Classic is the 1st of 8 events on the Player of the Year schedule that will conclude in March at the Season’s final Major, the Classic.

Last year, Eric Parvey captured his first Player of the year award by totaling 137.01 points. His season was highlighted by a 3rd place finish at the KFYR TV Bowling Classic in February that netted the south paw 55.2 points. Parvey’s 137.01 point campaign is the second highest total in POY history trailing only Thomas Wolf who recorded a record 153.68 points en route to the 2015-2016 Player of the Year award.

Aberdeen Scratch Tournament – February TBD (Aberdeen, SD) Classic – March 3-4, 2018 (Moorhead, MN)

Currently, 35 players have registered as Members and will earn points each season. Cost is a one time fee of $10. Once you become a member, you will earn points for life. To become a member, please contact Daren Seney at any one of the events listed above. Player of the Year and Team of the Year awards are open to all bowlers.

For current rankings, please visit the “rankings” tab above. Rankings are listed on a revolving points system. Players will lose points earned from the 2016 Kickoff Classic at the conclusion of the event this weekend, and rankings posted Monday will reflect points earned from the final 7 events last season along with the 2017 Kickoff Classic.
